How to avoid corrosion in steel structure engineering

 As we all know, the most afraid of steel structure engineering is corrosion, so how to avoid corrosion? Please be sure to have 3 necessary conditions at the same time, namely material, substance and tensile stress. Therefore, it is necessary to start from these three hazard elements, and take corresponding countermeasures from product design, installation engineering construction to important links in enterprise production management.

(1) Material: use duplex stainless steel; select welding consumables with basically the same composition and microstructure as the base metal (the principle of equal composition);

(2)  Substance: The possibility of corrosion of the base metal by the substance must be specifically considered, in order to reduce or remove stress corrosion in special environments, and corrosion inhibitors can be added to the substance.Metal surface treatment technology can also be used to prepare cathodic protective coating or physical barrier coating on the surface of prefabricated components;

(3)  Tensile stress includes:  Select the appropriate joint form during the welding process to reduce the internal stress;  Correct electric welding sequence;  Appropriate heat input;  After welding, stress relief treatment can be carried out.

With its excellent physical, mechanical and engineering construction properties, steel structures have been widely used in engineering projects around the world.However, corrosion of steel structures will not only cause huge waste of metal resources, but also endanger normal production operations.Therefore, it is necessary for steel structure manufacturers to actively develop new anti-corrosion countermeasures and give full play to a greater effect in future anti-corrosion and thermal insulation projects.
