DC’s 2nd Large Span Space Frame Power Plant in Mindanao
The long span space frames are generally defined as those that exceed 12 m in span. This power plant project is a typical example of a large span space frame structure . Filinvest’s Misamis Power Plant with a combined capacity of 405 MW (3 * 135 MW), now considered the biggest power plant in Mindanao, has been completed. The project is in line with the new energy secretary Alfonso Cusi’s goal of enriching Mindanao by engaging investors through building more power facilities, said FDCUI president and COO Mario Pangilinan. The Energy secretary previously said the Department of Energy’s goal will prioritize giving 100 percent household electrification and lower power rates.
