Welded Ball Node

MATERIAL OF WELDED BALL NODE

The material of Bolt Ball Node uses 2 round steel plates (Q235 or Q355) are welded after hot or cold-pressed into two hemispheres.

CHARACTERISTIC OF WELDED BALL NODE

The advantages of the welded ball node are clear force transmission, simple structure, beautiful shape, convenient connection and adaptability in the space frame construction. This node is suitable for connecting round steel pipe, as long as the steel pipe cutting surface perpendicular to the axis of the steel rod can be in the hollow sphere on the natural alignment without eccentricity. As the sphere is not directional, it can be connected with the rod in any direction, and its advantages are more prominent when there are more converging rods. Once, it is highly adaptable and can be used in all forms of netting structures.

The disadvantages of the welded ball node are: a larger amount of steel, Node steel consumption accounts for 20%-25% of the total steel consumption of the grid.; stamping welding labor, high welding quality requirements, field welding accounts for a large proportion; rod under the material requirements are accurate; when the welding process improperly caused by welding deformation is too large after difficult to deal with.

INSPECTION OF FINISHED WELDED BALL

The surface of the welded ball should be smooth and flat, no ripples, local unevenness is not greater than 1.0mm, the weld height and ball flush deviation is not greater than ± 0.5mm, the ball diameter deviation is not greater than 2.5mm, the ball roundness deviation is not greater than 2.5mm.

SAFS devote to the development of space frame for several years, professional manufacture of space frame for diverse projects such as aircraft hangar, bulk storagewarehouse and skylight roof, etc.
