The Influence of Span in space frame Construction

space frame  structures are influenced by various factors, including the fabrication and installation methods, span size, steel usage criteria, etc., which to some extent impact the choice of space frame  forms.   1. For instance, if welding is used for nodes, a space frame  composed of planar trusses is more convenient to fabricate than one composed of tetrahedra. Two-way orthogonal space frame s are more convenient than two-way skewed space frame s and three-way space frame s. Tetrahedral space frame s are more convenient than triangular space frame s.   2. The installation method, such as whether integral lifting or hoisting is employed, or if segmented or block installation is chosen, or if high-altitude sliding is used, the selection of three types of orthogonal space frame s—two-way orthogonal regular space frame s, regular tetrahedral space frame s, and regular tetrahedral space frame s with voids—is more advantageous than choosing skewed space frame s.   3. Calculations indica
