Bolt Ball Node Introduction

 The bolt ball node is a normal connection in the steel structure project. It’s composed of Space frame Hex sleeve nut, space frame bolt ball, pin, Space frame cone head, space frame blanking plate and space frame bolt, etc.

Besides the good applicability for the steel pipes in concurrent space, which the pipes won’t create the center, it can also reduce the welding work on site. Make the structure factory, ensure the quality of the construction. It’s also convenient for transportation and installation. Based on the situation of the site can choose different installation methods. The bolt ball node can be used in all grids, similar to the hinge point, more used in the pyramid space frame.

It’s necessary to understand how the bolt ball nodes work. First, welding the cone or blanking plate with high-strength on both sides of steel pipe, put the sleeve with the high-strength ball and locked them by pin. During the installation, can twist the sleeve or pins to make the bolt turn into the bolt ball until the high-strength is near to the sleeve or cone. You can control the level of connection by twist the pin.
